I agree that the last thing we need in the tech industry is a reinforcement of gender stereotypes. To x.ai’s credit, they now offer two AIs: Amy and Andrew. But at the time I was added to the beta, there was only Amy.

But to answer your question, yes, the AIs to create the calendar invitations. And I wouldn’t even have seen most of the conversation had I not asked Amy to forward it to me — itself a request I made by email using natural language (“Please show me your correspondence with Clara Stark.”).

As for how we ended up at Sightglass, that wasn’t my choice — remember, I’m the Mountain View guy. I think Jason has it set as his default coffee spot, but there I’m only speculating. In any case, I’m sure we can survive a coffee without wi-fi.
